Week 9 has been the least demanding week for me as I was almost done with my project report last week. So I was able to concentrate on last-minute details, spelling and some other mechanics of it with no rush.
In fact, this week's discussion topic is one of the most interesting of all we have covered so far for me since I always find Gardner's way of classfying intelligences as something which brought fairness and rightness to the land of education, thinking all those poor students smashed under the wheels of the traditional tyranny of the IQ.
Hi Sebnem
ReplyDeleteI agree with you learning style it is the most important topic we are as teachers should focus more and about it deeply because it is like a key to teach and achieve the objective of the class.
And as you said it is a mixed feelings of sadness and happiness of taking the benefit of the course . Any way we will keep in touch.

Hi Sebnem,
ReplyDeleteI agree this week has not been very demanding and that it was possible to relax a little bit after so much hard work. I also enjoy reading about learning styles, it`s a topic that teachers should be interested in.

Hi Sebnem,
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to believe and to understand that we are ending this course but it is the reality. We are ending it very soon. Sadness and happiness mixed as we are parting but also need to complete what we have started. I hope we will all keep in touch.
As for this week readings, I agree with you that reading about learning styles is very important for us as teachers. We need to know our learners if we want to teach effedctively.

Richard
Hi Sebnem,
ReplyDeleteKnowing our own learning styles and that of our learners surely will do away the tyranny in the classroom. Like you, I find all the readings of the week very informative and relevant to make us better teachers.
You are right Sebnem, the course is almost over, yet until now, I can't find the word to say goodbye!
Our class is like a jewel worth-keeping yet worth-sharing as well.
I wish you all the best and advance Merry Christmas.
Yours to keep,
BECKY
Sebnem,
ReplyDeleteAgreed on your reflection about saying goodbye, but how precious the moments we could all share with wonderful colleagues like yourself. If ever any of you need anything from this part of the world, count on me.
